Hon. Edward Bawa Successfully Filed Nomination Papers for NDC Primaries. On the morning of March 20th, 2023, a team representing Hon. Edward Bawa, the incumbent member of parliament for Bongo, successfully filed his nomination papers for the upcoming NDC parliamentary and presidential primaries. The team, led by Comrade Akugre Abane, the ward co-ordinator for Samboligo Electoral Area, presented the forms to the Bongo Constituency Election Committee on behalf of the candidate. The filing of the nomination papers marks an important milestone for Hon. Edward Bawa's bid to retain his seat as the MP for Bongo. The NDC primaries will determine the party's candidates for the upcoming parliamentary and presidential elections, and securing a place on the ballot is a crucial step for any aspiring candidate. The Girls Are More Than Capable If We Give Them The Chance, Hon. Edward Bawa Says After Supporting Dagliga Girls Model School With Ghc6,000. The honorable member of parliament for Bongo, Honourable Edward Bawa was present to grace the commissioning of the Girls model school in Dagliga, a community in the Bongo district of the upper east region. Leaders of the said community and the Bongo District Education Directorate locked heads together in putting up a building to serve as a temporal structure for the schooling activities of the Dagliga model school awaiting the construction of a permanent structure. The commissioning was done later today and the MP whilst giving his speech offered to give the community Ghc5,000 from his common fund to serve as the seed money for the construction of the school block. A simulation community flood and drought management plan session for various stakeholders and Kunkua-Daliga community members. The Organistion for Indigenous Initiatives and Sustainability (ORGIIS, Ghana) has collaborated with Water resource commission to organize a simulation community flood and drought management plan session for various stakeholders who are key players when it comes to flood and drought issues. This has become necessary after the organization for indigenous initiatives and sustainability (ORGIIS Ghana) has installed early warning systems such as a meteorological station, a community information center and a first aid kit to the community members. The Russian Embassy in Ghana says the Government of Ghana must desist from blaming its economic woes on the Vladimir Putin-led attack on Ukraine. The Akufo-Addo led-administration has consistently blamed the current economic hardship in the country on global crisis such COVID-19 and the recent Russia-Ukraine war. His Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia during an economy lecture held in the Central also alluded to same. But, the Russian Embassy in Accra disagrees. After the much anticipated interview between Kelvin Taylor and Serwaa Broni who has been in the news sometime now for the speculations he made about H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, The NDC caucus released a statement seeking to add their voice to the matter. Their statement reads; The NDC Caucus in Parliament has become aware of very scandalous allegations contained in an interview granted Mr. Ekow Kevin Taylor by Madam Evelyn Serwaa Broni on Easter Sunday the 17th of April, 2022. These allegations, if proven to be true, raise grave charges of abuse of office, human right violations and conduct which bring the high office of President of Ghana into disrepute. The NDC Caucus has consequently requested and obtained a copy of the full interview in issue for further study, transcription and legal analysis.
