The Girls Are More Than Capable If We Give Them The Chance, Hon. Edward Bawa Says After Supporting Dagliga Girls Model School With Ghc6,000. The honorable member of parliament for Bongo, Honourable Edward Bawa was present to grace the commissioning of the Girls model school in Dagliga, a community in the Bongo district of the upper east region. Leaders of the said community and the Bongo District Education Directorate locked heads together in putting up a building to serve as a temporal structure for the schooling activities of the Dagliga model school awaiting the construction of a permanent structure. The commissioning was done later today and the MP whilst giving his speech offered to give the community Ghc5,000 from his common fund to serve as the seed money for the construction of the school block. A simulation community flood and drought management plan session for various stakeholders and Kunkua-Daliga community members. The Organistion for Indigenous Initiatives and Sustainability (ORGIIS, Ghana) has collaborated with Water resource commission to organize a simulation community flood and drought management plan session for various stakeholders who are key players when it comes to flood and drought issues. This has become necessary after the organization for indigenous initiatives and sustainability (ORGIIS Ghana) has installed early warning systems such as a meteorological station, a community information center and a first aid kit to the community members.
