Honourable Edward Bawa Financially Supports Basket Weavers Within His Constituency.

The Honourable Member of Parliament for the Bongo Constituency of the Upper East has given financial support to basket weavers within the length and width of his constituency.


The law maker openly disclosed that during his campaigns prior to the 2020 general elections, basket weavers at all corners of the constituency pleaded for financial support in procurring straws for their basket weaving business to which he promised to fulfill when given the opportunity to serve the constituents again.

Honourable Edward Bawa won his seat with massive votes amidst a keen cotest for the second time by defeating the DCE who happened to have contested as the parliamentary candidate for the New Patriotic Party.

He therefore deemed it as a fulfillment of his pledge made to the basket weavers during the campaigns.

Honourable Edward Bawa was in the news not quite long for donating furniture to schools in his constituency, such report had it that during his campaigns, he got to realize that most schools lack furniture and therefore promised to solve the situation when given a second chance hence his donation of the furniture.

The basket weavers therefore praised him for keeping the promises he made to them.

Honourable Edward Bawa also disclosed that he has his constituents at heart and therefore will forever place their priorities first in all his endeavors at the parliament house.

He encouraged the constituents to always speak out their concerns instead of keeping them since he can not be at all parts of the constituency at the same time
